Therapy for Adults
At Inner Garden Psychology, we offer individual psychotherapy with supervised student therapists. Sessions are typically 50 minutes and may take place in person in Toronto or virtually within Ontario.
Our therapeutic approach
Our therapists take an integrative approach to therapy, working to understand your unique experiences and tailoring treatment to your individual needs. They will draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including humanistic/client-centred, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural, dialectical-behavioural, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness approaches. This flexibility allows us to support both reflective, process-oriented exploration and movement toward specific therapeutic goals and positive life change.
Clinical concerns we support
We work with adults experiencing a broad range of concerns, and of mild to moderate severity. These include:
Anxiety, worry, or stress
Mood-related challenges, depression, burnout, and feeling overwhelmed
Trauma, loss, and grief
Self-criticism, perfectionism, and people-pleasing
Identity concerns
Life transitions (school, work, relationships, parenthood) and adjustment-related concerns
Women’s Health issues (e.g., pre- and post-partum challenges, perimenopause, fertility struggles)
Obsessive-compulsive tendencies
Emotion regulation difficulties
Relationship patterns and boundary problems
ADHD-related or executive-function challenges
Self-enhancement, self-awareness, and personal growth
Fees
Because we are a training clinic, our therapy fees are reduced compared to typical private practice rates.
Student therapist sessions: $125 /
50-minute session (psychological services are exempt from HST)
Our services are not covered by OHIP but are often eligible for reimbursement from extended health benefits when sessions are supervised by a registered psychologist or psychological associate. We encourage clients to review their benefits plan to confirm coverage.
