OUR SUPERVISORS

Dr. Carmen Weiss, Ph.D. C.Psych., RYT

Carmen is a clinical and health psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario since 2010.

After receiving her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from York University, she opened a private practice in Burlington and was also a staff psychologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. In the summer of 2013, she decided to focus on her private practice full-time. She has held past psychological positions at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto (CAMH), St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and Toronto General Hospital.

Carmen loves teaching and supervising and has always had at least one student at her practice since she opened it. She is also faculty at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, and she feels honoured to be able to help future psychologists hone this beautiful craft. She is also passionate about innovation in psychotherapy and is currently in the midst of writing a book about the particular way her practice of integrative and co-creative psychotherapy has evolved over the past twenty years.

Finally, she is a registered yoga teacher and is certified in Reiki, and she loves bringing in wisdom from Eastern traditions into her work with clients, students, and supervisees.

Kimberley Lynn, M.A., C.Psych.Assoc.

Kimberley is a psychological associate registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She brings warmth, gentleness, and deep respect to her work with clients and supervisees, and is committed to the development of thoughtful, confident, and ethical therapists.

Kimberley completed her Master’s degree and the vast majority of her doctoral (PhD) training in Clinical Psychology at York University. She is also a certified therapist, trainer, and supervisor of emotion focused therapy (EFT) for individuals (International Society for Emotion Focused Therapy; isEFT).

Her clinical and supervisory work is informed by evidence-based approaches, with particular emphasis on humanistic, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural, and attachment-based therapies. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can slow down, deepen self-understanding, and connect meaningfully with their inner experiences. This same relational stance guides her work as a supervisor.

As a clinical supervisor, Kimberley is collaborative, reflective, and growth-oriented. She is especially passionate about training student therapists and early-career clinicians, and aims to provide a supportive, steady, and relational learning environment. Her supervision focuses on helping therapists develop confidence, strengthen clinical thinking, deepen intervention skills, and cultivate their own authentic therapeutic presence—while holding care for both the client’s and the therapist’s emotional experience.
