High quality psychological care, within reach

Our Story

Inner Garden Psychology was created around two ideas: that strong, evidence-based psychological care should be accessible to more people, and that developing excellent clinicians requires meaningful training, close supervision, and mentorship.

We saw an opportunity to bring these ideas together. Our model allows us to support clinicians at different stages of their professional development while offering clients a range of clinical experience and care options. For clinicians, it creates a rich environment for learning, reflection, collaboration, and mentorship. For clients, it creates opportunities to find care that feels like the right fit for their needs, circumstances, and goals.

While our model has grown beyond where we began, that original idea continues to shape who we are: people are capable of meaningful change, and everyone should have the opportunity to access high quality psychological support when they need it.

For the clients and clinicians who have found their way to Inner Garden, we’re glad you’re here.

Our Values

Connection

We believe a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. Feeling respected, understood, and safe enough to be honest creates the foundation for meaningful work.

Curiosity

We approach each person with genuine curiosity. Rather than making assumptions, we take the time to understand your experiences, your history, your relationships, and the patterns that have shaped you.

Individualized Care

There is no single approach that works for everyone. Our clinicians draw from evidence-informed psychological approaches while adapting their work to the person sitting in front of them.

Self-Understanding

We believe therapy and assessment can help you understand not only what you're experiencing, but why. Greater self-understanding can create new possibilities for how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

Growth

Change rarely happens all at once. We believe people have the capacity to grow and change when they have the support, understanding, and conditions that allow them to do so.

Care That’s Closely Supported

One of the things that makes Inner Garden unique is the emphasis we place on clinical support and supervision.

For our supervised clinicians, clinical work does not happen in isolation. Clinicians have regular opportunities to discuss their work, reflect on what they are noticing, and consider different perspectives with their clinical supervisor and other members of the Inner Garden team.

For clients, this means that their care benefits from more than one perspective. Your clinician brings their presence, curiosity, and understanding of your individual experience, while the broader clinical team provides experience, consultation, and support behind the scenes.

We think of this as “two heads on your case.” It is one of the ways we strive to provide thoughtful, well-supported care while creating an environment where clinicians can continue to grow.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
