My Approach

I first became interested in psychology during my final year of high school, but I have been a “people person” for as long as I can remember. Over the years, my curiosity about psychology and the human mind has grown into a career in the mental health field. I have four years of experience working with Canada’s national suicide crisis services, where I have supported many individuals through difficult and overwhelming moments in their lives.

I am interested in working with adolescents and adults across a range of concerns, with particular interests in perfectionism, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I am also especially passionate about men’s mental health.

My approach is client-centred, meaning that I work collaboratively with you to understand what you would like to get out of therapy and how we can work toward those goals together. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches, while continuing to learn and adapt my approach to best support each person I work with.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy staying active. I play volleyball and practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and also enjoy running, weightlifting, and hiking. One of my favourite recent hikes was L’Acropole des Draveurs in Quebec, and my hiking bucket list includes Glacier and Yosemite in the U.S., Tombstone in the Yukon, and Patagonia.
